PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Together with local stakeholders and leadership and staff at Blaine County, we are developing programs and funding to support investment in high priority nature-based solutions to accomplish the goals of Blaine County’s Climate Action Plan. We began this effort in 2018 alongside ESF, securing over $200,000 from USDA Forest Service and IDL that invested in GIS mapping, development of community forest management plans and investments in on-the-ground projects. In 2025, TKC was awarded $99,000 from CSCI to invest in high-priority nature-based solutions that align with Blaine County’s Climate Action Plan. This collective effort continues to showcase the value of sustained local partnerships and investment in strategic climate action to improve the health and resilience of landscapes across the Wood River Valley.
